Rich coffee sugar scrub in a glass jar.

DIY Coffee Lip Scrub

A cozy little coffee scrub that costs almost nothing and works better than most things on the shelf.
Servings: 3 oz

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons coffee-infused oil
  • 1 tablespoon finely ground coffee
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 8 drops vanilla oleoresin
  • 7 drops coffee essential oil

Method

  1. Add your ground coffee to a clean, dry glass jar. Pour the carrier oil over the coffee until it’s fully covered. Stir gently to combine. Let sit for a few weeks, then strain the oil through a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer to remove all coffee grounds. Alternatively, you can put in a double boiler for a few hours as well.
  2. Add the essential oils to the infused oil.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the coffee grounds and sugar until evenly combined.
  4. Pour in the coffee-infused oil and stir until the mixture forms a smooth, wet consistency. It should feel slightly oily but not runny.
  5. Transfer the scrub to a small glass jar with a lid. Label and store in a cool, dry place for up to 3 months.

Notes

Any carrier oil works. I used almond oil.
